This notice explains how personal information is handled when you use pod-champion.com. Contact the address above with privacy questions or requests.
Website hosting and technical access data
POD Champion is hosted by STRATO GmbH in Germany. When your browser requests a page or image, technical connection information is processed to deliver the content and maintain website security. This can include your IP address, the requested page or file, request time, response status, browser information, and referring page.
STRATO states that visitor IP addresses used for attack detection and prevention are retained for a maximum of seven days. Hosting access logs made available to customers contain anonymized host or IP information and are available for the preceding six weeks. Aggregated hosting statistics may remain available longer. See STRATO’s information about data processing and hosting statistics.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in delivering, maintaining, and protecting the website.
Contact by email
If you email us, we process your email address, message, and any other information you provide to answer your inquiry and manage necessary follow-up. Correspondence is handled through the email services used for this contact address.
The legal basis for general inquiries is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, reflecting our legitimate interest in communicating with visitors. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies where an inquiry concerns a contract with us or steps requested before entering a contract.
Messages are retained for as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any related claims or applicable statutory retention obligations, then deleted. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information. This website currently provides contact by email rather than through a contact form.
Product catalog and Amazon links
We use WordPress and WooCommerce to present designs and books and link to their listings on Amazon.com. Purchases take place on Amazon; we do not collect checkout or payment information for these products through the catalog.
Amazon links contain an affiliate identifier. Following a link sends your browser to Amazon, which receives technical connection information and may use cookies or other identifiers under its own privacy practices to attribute purchases. We may receive reports about qualifying purchases and commissions. These reports do not give us your Amazon password or payment card details.
The legal basis for operating the affiliate catalog is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, reflecting our legitimate interest in presenting and financing our products and website. Amazon is responsible for its own processing, including any consent it requires for its services. See Amazon’s Privacy Notice and our Affiliate Disclosure.
The product images used in this catalog are served from this website’s own WordPress Media Library. A normal Amazon product link does not itself embed the Amazon product page.
Cookies and website functions
WordPress uses authentication and preference cookies for authorized administrators. WooCommerce may use technical session storage when its relevant session or catalog functions are invoked. Actual cookies depend on the functions used. See the Cookie Policy for information about these technologies.
Storage or access that is strictly necessary to provide a digital service expressly requested by a visitor may rely on Section 25(2) TDDDG. Related personal-data processing relies on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR where necessary to operate and secure that service. Optional device storage or access requires prior consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG unless an applicable exception applies.
Cookie consent with Complianz
We use Complianz to manage cookie preferences. It stores the visitor’s consent choices and information about the applicable policy or banner in cookies or local browser storage. This allows the website to remember and apply accepted or rejected categories.
Necessary storage used to provide requested privacy preferences relies on Section 25(2) TDDDG. Related personal-data processing serves our legitimate interest in administering and demonstrating consent choices under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and applicable compliance obligations. The Cookie Policy lists cookie purposes and lifetimes for the configured setup.
You can reject optional statistics and continue browsing the catalog and using its product links. Use the website’s consent-management control to change or withdraw your choices. Withdrawal applies to future processing and does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
Google Analytics 4
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand website visits and interactions and improve POD Champion. The provider for users in the European Economic Area is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Our measurement ID is G-VN50ZKRMB7.
Analytics can process cookie identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location, referring pages, page addresses and titles, and events such as page views. Additional events depend on the enabled measurement settings. GA4 uses IP information to derive approximate location but does not log or store individual IP addresses. We do not intentionally send email correspondence, passwords, or payment information to Analytics.
The legal basis is consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG for optional device storage or access. Google Analytics is blocked until you consent to analytics cookies. You can withdraw your consent anytime through Cookie settings.
GA4’s default cookies include _ga and _ga_VN50ZKRMB7, used to distinguish visitors and maintain session state. Google documents a default lifetime of up to two years; browser limits and the configured settings can shorten this. Cookie lifetime is different from Analytics report-data retention.
Our Analytics property is configured to retain event-level data for two months and user-level data for fourteen months. The setting to reset retention on new user activity is enabled: new activity can restart the fourteen-month retention period for the user identifier. Standard aggregated reports are not all subject to these retention controls.
Google and its service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Information about Google’s transfer mechanisms and data-processing terms is available in Google’s transfer frameworks and Google’s data-processing terms.
Read how Google uses information from sites using its services. You may also use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported.
No advertising-pixel or newsletter service has been configured as part of the setup described here. Hosting security logs and server-based statistics are separate from Google Analytics and are described above.
Recipients and transfers
Hosting and email service providers process information needed to deliver the website and handle correspondence. Google receives analytics information when the analytics service runs with the visitor’s consent. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Following an external link takes you to another provider whose privacy practices apply there.
Amazon operates internationally; its privacy notice explains its processing locations and safeguards. This website’s use of a link should not be understood as a statement that all subsequent Amazon processing takes place in Germany.
Your rights
Subject to applicable legal requirements, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, or data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it for the future without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Contact info@pod-champion.com to exercise your rights. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity. You may complain to a competent supervisory authority, including the LfDI Baden-Württemberg.
You are not required to send us an email; if you do, we need sufficient contact information to respond. Technical connection data is needed to deliver the website. We do not use the website processes described here to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.
Changes
We update this notice when the website or its data processing changes. The date above identifies this version.
